Salt water has a lot of great health benefits, and fortunately for us there is plenty of it on this planet.  But you really should just make your own at home instead of taking a dip from the ocean.

salt water recipeThe ingredients for this recipe are very simple

  • Purified Water
  • Natural Sea Salt

You do not want to use regular salt as sea salt has proven to be much better for you and contains less sodium as well.

Here is how you make the sea salt colon cleanse recipe:

  • Heat up about a quart of water.  Don’t make it hot, but just warm so you can drink it without burning yourself.
  • Pour in about 1/8 cup or less of sea salt.  Take as much of it as you can stand but no more than 1/4 cup.
  • Stir it up really good so all of the salt has been dissolved into the water.  If there is still salt sitting at the bottom you put in too much.
  • Drink this stuff as fast as you can take it.

In my experience I have found that it is better to drink the salt water very quickly before you have time to realize how bad it is.  Sounds crazy, but when you drink it really slow it makes it even hard to get through the whole thing.

What are the side-effects?

Besides having a horribly salty taste in your mouth you may also experience a slight to sever head ache.  As the salt water goes into your stomach it will start throughout the rest of your body.

You will probably want to stay home when you do this because you are going to want to be near a bathroom at all times.  The toxic flush that comes from this recipe can be very effective.  As always you should consult with your doctor before doing anything like this to make sure it will be safe.  I am not a physician, but am merely posting some colon cleanse recipes that have worked for people I know.

Here is another homemade colon cleanse recipe that you can try with just a few simple ingredients:

lemon juice cleanse

  • Red Cayenne Pepper
  • Fresh Lemon Juice (from real lemons)
  • Distilled Water (or at least filtered
  • Maple Syrup

Now you will want to take an average size glass of water that is at least 8 oz and no more than 12 oz and fill it 3/4 of the way up with the filtered water.  We use filtered water because there are a lot of toxins in regular tap water.  The point here is to detoxify so we want water to be as pure as possible.

Then you can take two tablespoons of lemon juice and pour them into the glass.  I prefer to just use one whole lemon and cut it and squeeze the juices into the drink.  Nothing beats real lemon juice when it comes to a proper colon cleanse.

You will put in one tablespoon of the cayenne pepper.   This stuff has a kick but it helps to clean all the gunk off the walls of your colon.  You can actually put in as much as you can stand, but be careful because it makes some people gag when they take too much.

With the maple syrup you want to put in about 2 table spoons.  This adds a much needed sweetness to your drink but it also has many health benefits as well.  It kind of has the same effect as motor oil which I have heard many old-timers tell me was their only method of colon cleansing back in the day.

The lemon and cayenne pepper colon cleanse is an easy and quick solution to a homemade cleanse on the fly, and it can be a great addition to other colon cleansing methods.
